Under the Dome 3x01 & 3x02 Recap

Image
What a premiere! Okay, be honest with me everyone, I wasn’t the only one sitting only inches away from my television during the two hour Under the Dome season three premiere was I? No? Didn’t think so. The two-part premiere entitled Move On / But I’m Not was an explosive entry into this incredible series. SPOILERS BELOW!!! So much happened in the two hour season opener that I’m not really sure where to begin. The episode opened right where the season two finale let off, Melanie telling the group of dome survivors that they needed to follow her. I don’t know about you, but there is no way I would follow a soaking wet girl who recently came back from the dead into a bright white light. But television characters are never as smart as me so unfortunately they all followed her and Barbie ended up with sticky goo on his hands. It was at that moment I knew they were going to be in those pods we’d seen in the promos. An hour later and I was totally proved right. Possibly the mos

Teen Beach Movie - Movie Review

Image
With the release of Teen Beach 2 just around the corner, I thought it time to tackle one of my favourite Disney Channel films of all time. Back in 2009 Disney Channel brought us Wizards of Waverly Place from the shores of Puerto Rico. Now they bring us Teen Beach Movie , a fun beach party inspired film. McKenzie (Maia Mitchell) and Brady (Ross Lynch) are two surfers who are magically transported inside a classic ‘60s beach party film, Wet Side Story, where a surf-and-turf war between the surfers and bikers is in full swing. After accidentally changing the film’s plot causing the film’s hero and heroine to fall for them instead of each other, Mack and Brady must find a way to change the plot back whilst also finding a way back home. The storyline progressed at an easy pace for the audience to follow, while still taking the time to learn about each of the four main characters in detail. The plotline of Wet Side Story, a spoof off of the popular film “West Side Story”, was both

Taylor Swift 'Bad Blood' Music Video Review

Image
Arguably one of the most popular women in the world, Taylor Swift never ceases to amaze. A little over one month before the Billboard Music Awards, Taylor announced that her newest music video would be for Bad Blood one of her most popular songs off of her fifth studio album 1989 . For a month Taylor released posters of her friends in some serious Sucker Punch-esque costumes all with names they chose themselves. The day before the video was released the world was buzzing with anticipation. I know I myself was very excited to see the final product. So many of my favourite actresses were in the video and I loved the song. When the video was finally released and I got the chance to watch it, I found that I was sadly disappointed with the outcome. Personally I thought the video was too busy. There were too many characters and it interfered with an otherwise fantastic concept. I also was upset that Taylor chose to use a remixed version of the song rather than the original.

I'm not dead!!

I’m baaaaaacck. I know that it has been just under seven months since I last posted and for that I am sorry. I won’t lie to you and tell you that I’ve been busy because that’s not true. I was however going through some things towards the end of last year and so found that my blog got sort of pushed to the back burner as I worked some things out. The good news though is that I’ve worked through my issues and as a result I am ready to return to the blog. So, if this is my grand re-entrance to the world of blogging I feel I should reintroduce myself. Hello people of Earth!! I am currently taking a year off from university as I discovered that a journalism degree simply isn’t for me, but I am going back next year this time to do a teaching degree. Hopefully in only 4.5 short years I will be a fully qualified High School drama teacher! The ultimate goal of course is still to be living in Hollywood as a screenwriter for TV and film... and hey once I’m there what’s to
