Farewell 2015, It's Been Swell

Well, it’s pretty unbelievable but this is going to be the last post for 2015 since tomorrow is the start of a New Year. It’s hard to imagine that 2015 will be over in a matter of hours. 2015 was such an exciting year for me. I did so much this year and while I’m sad it’s coming to an end, I’m very excited to see what 2016 has in store. Today, for the last day of 2015 I thought I’d share with you guys a bit of what I’ve done this year. First, the travel. I travelled overseas twice and interstate once this year. In January I travelled to South America with a group called Reach Out Volunteers and together we built two greenhouses for underprivileged families living in the mountains above Urubamba. Honestly this was one of the best experiences of my life and I made many friends on this trip. In November I travelled to the UK to catch up with friends and family, some of whom I hadn’t seen in 10 years. I was great getting to see everyone and I also got to do things I’ve been dr

Adventures In Screenwriting

Hello wonderful people! Merry Christmas! I hope that your day is filled with prosper and joy! Today I’m introducing yet another new series of blog posts! (I know; I’m just getting so organised)! This new series is similar to the last that I introduced and is called Adventures in Screenwriting . For anyone who doesn’t know me I should probably mention that I would like to be a screenwriter as my chosen career. I know right? Could I have possibly chosen a harder career? The answer of course is yes but that is not the point. No, the point is that I would one day like to become a screenwriter and this blog series will document my journey in doing so. Now I know what you’re thinking. What exactly does that even mean? Well, as I mentioned last time I absolutely love lists, so here’s another one for you. This time it lists the sorts of things I will be talking about in this blog series: Details of my current project(s) Tips or tricks I've found helpful

Flashback Friday: My Everything vs. Yours Truly

Hey everyone! Welcome to the first Flashback Friday post for Just a Little Bit Random . Obviously you would notice that I’m not posting this on Friday which seems like poor planning on my behalf. The truth is I’ve been very busy the last couple of days with work, Christmas parties, Star Wars release and my Dad’s birthday, but I was still determined to get a post up. So here it is, the first Flashback Friday post… posted on a Sunday. Today I’m going to be flashing back to the release of Ariana Grande’s sophomore album My Everything . It’s been just over a year since the release of My Everything , and I don’t know about you but I can’t still get enough of the album. If you’re interested in reading my full track by track you can do so here . In this blog entry however I’m going to see how Ariana’s two albums measure up against each other. In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past two years, you’ll remember that Yours Truly was released in August of last year where it

Randomness with Jenna: Supanova, Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman

Image
Hey guys! So today I thought I’d do something a little different with the blog… I thought I’d tell you a little about my life. I know, crazy right? Over the past few weeks I’ve had some pretty exciting times. I met some super star guests at Supanova, went to the Taylor Swift 1989 World Tour and saw Hugh Jackman live on stage. Supanova was amazing. I got photos with both Matthew Lewis ( Neville Longbottom from Harry Potter Series ) and Summer Glau ( River Tam from Firefly ), as well as met Lynette Noni (Author of The Medoran Chronicles ) and Sarah J. Maas (Author of Throne of Glass ). The panels for Matt and Summer were great and meeting Lynette and Sarah was a real eye-opener. Anyone who knows me (or follows this blog) would know that I want to be a published author someday, so getting to talk to Lynette and Sarah was incredible. They were both so lovely and inspiring. I bought both of their new books and got them signed. Last Tuesday night my sister and I went to Taylor
