What's In My Bookcase - Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr

Hi everyone! Welcome to the first entry in the What’s In My Bookcase? series! I hope you all enjoy finding out what sorts of books I love to read and to collect!

Today’s Book: Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr


1.     How did you come to own this book?
I’m pretty sure I saw this book in an airport bookstore and got excited by the cover so I researched to find the first one in the city and ended up buying all five.

2.     Have you read this book?
Yes – though I haven’t read it for quite a few years.

3.     What did you like about this book?
I think when I started reading Ink Exchange I was a little confused as I didn’t realise it was more of a companion novel than a sequel. The events in the book occur chronologically with the other books in the series, however they focus on a different set of characters.  

I haven’t read the book for awhile but I do remember thoroughly enjoying it. It had a darker tone than most of the books I’ve ever read but it was very well read. The characters were intriguing and the story was fantastic.

4.     Would you recommend this book to others?
I would definitely recommend this book to others, though I would recommend them to read the first book first.

Flashback Friday: Descendants - Movie Review

Once again it is a Friday and once again it is time for another entry in the Flashback Friday series! Today, I'm going to be reviewing one of my favourite movies of 2015 (and possibly of all-time) Disney's  Descendants . For those of you who haven't heard of this (amazing) movie, Descendant's  is a Disney Channel Original Movie that aired in July last year. In the film the son of King "Beast" and Queen Belle is about to ascend the throne and offers the children of villains the chance to attend Auradon prep. Jay, Carlos, Evie and Mal, children of Jafar, Cruella de Vil, Evil Queen and Maleficent head to Auradon with a mission - steal Fairy Godmother's magic wand and beak the villains off the Isle of the Lost where they had been exiled.  Okay, so from the moment I found out this was a movie I was completely onboard. Top 5 'Karen Rooney' Moments - Liv and Maddie Season 2

Good news boys and girls! The season three premiere of Liv and Maddie is drawing near meaning we are getting closer to finding out the fate of Miggie! To cope with the stress of waiting I’m continuing my blog series where I pick my top five favourite moments for each family member from season two. Without further ado, here are my top five favourite Karen Rooney moments from season two. 5. A Hairy Situation (Gift-a-Rooney) Karen allows Parker and Reggie to make her some beauty cream which has an unfortunate side effect. 4.
