Megan Nicole 'Escape' - Track by Track

After finding out a month ago that Megan Nicole had an EP coming out, I haven’t been able to cope waiting for it to drop. Luckily for me I didn’t have to wait long and now that I’ve purchased the album I’ve been listening the songs on an endless loop.

Just in case you’ve been living under a rock since the EP came out, I’m breaking it down track by track.

1.      Electrified
The opener for the EP is the throwback to the ‘80s single we’ve all fallen head over heels for. The song is fun and upbeat and a fantastic introduction to the EP and to Megan’s new sound.

2.      Fun
After Megan posted a photo on twitter showing a bench with the word ‘fun’ written in graffiti on the side, I’m about 98% sure that this song is destined to be the second single off the album. What a perfect choice. With its catchy melody and easy to remember lyrics, Fun is the perfect song to listen to when you’re getting ready for a night out with your friends.

3.      Alright
The third song on the album sports a darker tone with an ominous feel to it. The song is about a relationship where Megan says her ‘last goodbye’ and that she’ll be alright when it’s all over. It’s a perfect song for if you’ve been through a tough break-up.

4.      Escape
Megan slows it down for the title song with a beautiful ballad that shows off her flawless vocals. Escape is a song that’s an easy listen and is about knowing who you are; and is the perfect song to listen to when you need a boost confidence boost.

5.       Courageous
To round off the EP, Megan chose to go with another easy listen song, but one with a strong tempo. The song shows off Megan’s vocals perfectly, and is another perfect song to listen to when you need a confidence boost. All in all, the perfect way to round off the EP.

Just a little fun fact I found, who else loves that each of Megan’s songs on the EP have one word titles? Do you think it was just a coincidence? Or do you think Megan did it on purpose?

Flashback Friday: Descendants - Movie Review

Once again it is a Friday and once again it is time for another entry in the Flashback Friday series! Today, I'm going to be reviewing one of my favourite movies of 2015 (and possibly of all-time) Disney's  Descendants . Top 5 'Karen Rooney' Moments - Liv and Maddie Season 2

Good news boys and girls! The season three premiere of Liv and Maddie is drawing near meaning we are getting closer to finding out the fate of Miggie! To cope with the stress of waiting I’m continuing my blog series where I pick my top five favourite moments for each family member from season two.
