The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies Trailer 1

San Diego Comic-Con has delivered once again... and this time it's in the form of a trailer for the epic conclusion to Peter Jackson's middle-earth saga, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The trailer goes for a little over two minutes and is not full to the brim of information, but it had just enough to tell us that this movie is not going to be a happy one. In fact, just from the trailer it's fairly obvious that this is going to be the saddest of the three films.

The trailer gives us a glimpse into the destruction Smaug is going to bring down on Laketown and also a little bit of insight into the battle of the five armies that will occur throughout the film. Most of the characters in the trailer were simply there to stare at one another, but we did get some dialogue from Bard, Thorin and a voiceover from Bilbo. The dialogue was mainly about the war, and about how Thorin would rather a war over peace.

Although the film is still a little under five months away, this trailer has definitely given me a lot to think about till then... and plenty of time for me to get the tissues ready for when I finally do go and see the film!

I've included the trailer below so be sure to watch and let me know what you think in the comments section.

Stay random!
